      -       BIOS is non-volatile firmware used to perform hardware initialization during the booting process, and to provide runtime services for operating systems and programs. The BIOS firmware comes pre-installed on a personal computer's system board, and it is the first software to run when powered on.
      -       BIOS is A Program Stored in Small Chip & The Small Chip Is Connected with Your Mother Board. It also called Firmware of motherboard. Hardware & Software Are Communicate Through Firmware.


Function Of BIOS

 - BIOS Does very Basic Work. BIOS is very Important for computer Booting. When you switch on Your Computer or Laptop BIOS is Activate. After Activation BIOS Check the CDM Chip Setting Check all hardware are working or not then it Run POST (Power on Self-Test).
  - After RUN POST If All hardware is in place and operational then It give Signal through one Beep (If Mother Board has Speaker) to process computer For Further process.
  - If all hardware is not in place or operational it continues beep and give you warning.
  - In today latest motherboard You get small Display to give you Error code so You can fix the error.
  - After completing POST BIOS search for bootable device. In Bootable device It check Hard Drive so it can boot operating system.
  - After operating System is start BIOS work is over. Today Latest operating system are capable to handle All Hardware. So, after starting Operating system BIOS Handover all Work to Operating System.
        -       BIOS makes sure all the other chips, hard drives, ports and CPU function together.
        -       When BIOS starts up your computer, it first determines whether all of the attachments are in place and operational and then it loads the operating system into your computer RAM from your hard disk.

What is BIOS Update?

      -       Flashing a BIOS isn’t as easy as installing a normal software update.
      -        If your computer loses power while flashing the BIOS, or you Flashing Wrong BIOS your computer could become Broken and unable to boot.
